Andrew Ferrill is a Physician Assistant professional with years of experience based in San Antonio, and is currently working for Senior Psych Care in the greater San Antonio, TX area. Despite his professional and educational achievements, Andrew is a dedicated father, a fitness fanatic and great friend. He is a well rounded person who incorporates his experiences in every aspect of his life.
Andrew was born in Bethesda, Maryland and is the youngest of 6 children. His upbringing was rooted in developing strong family values and a great work ethic. He put these lessons to practice throughout his educational career at the New Mexico State University and Yale University School of Medicine. During his undergraduate career, Andrew was able to publish a research paper pertaining to how children and teens process nonverbal cues from peers/adults in their lives. In 1999, Andrew graduated top 2% of his class from YUSM, and received his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies, PA. This huge accomplishment opened many doors for Mr. Ferrill, and he began working in the field of health care right after graduation.
As a Physician Assistant, Andrew is known for his excellent work-ethic, and a commitment to making sure geriatric patients and those with mental illnesses receive the best possible health care. Currently Mr. Ferrill travels to at least 10 different nursing homes throughout the San Antonio and Austin area, seeing and treating Geriatric Patients with issues such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and dementia. His main career goal is to improve the overall quality of life of his patients as well as their families. In 2016 Andrew plans on attending Medical School at the University of Oceania – program is designed for PA’s who are interested in becoming Physicians, and improving on their overall medical skills.
Andrew is a proud father of a brilliant daughter who is currently attending her second year of highschool, and excelling in her studies.
